The short version

01 — Introduction

Who we are

Medera LLC ("Medera," "we," "us") provides remote front-office and patient-access support to US medical practices. This policy explains how we handle information collected through medera.org. It does not cover information we handle on behalf of client practices under a Business Associate Agreement. That information is governed by our agreement with each practice and by HIPAA.

02 — Collection

Information we collect

Information you give us

When you book a demo, use our contact form, or email us, we receive the details you provide. This typically includes your name, email address, phone number, practice name, your role, and anything you write in your message.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our hosting provider and the tools described below may collect standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the page that referred you, and the date and time of your visit.

03 — Usage

How we use information

04 — Cookies

Cookies and the LinkedIn Insight Tag

This website uses the LinkedIn Insight Tag, a small piece of code provided by LinkedIn. When you visit, it may set cookies in your browser and send LinkedIn information about your visit, such as the page viewed, your IP address, and browser details. If you are a LinkedIn member, LinkedIn may link the visit to your account.

LinkedIn uses this to give us aggregated, non-identifying reports, for example the general job titles and industries of our visitors, and to let us show ads to people who have visited our site. We never see who individual visitors are. LinkedIn's handling of this data is described in the LinkedIn Privacy Policy and LinkedIn Cookie Policy.

You can control this in several ways: block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use a browser or extension that blocks tracking, or, if you have a LinkedIn account, change your advertising preferences in your LinkedIn settings.

05 — Sharing

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

06 — Location

Where information is processed

Our website is hosted in the United States. Members of our team work remotely, including from Pakistan, so information you send us may be accessed from outside the United States. We apply the same care to it wherever it is handled.

07 — Retention

How long we keep information

We keep inquiry and contact information for as long as needed to respond to you and manage our business relationship, and then delete it unless we need to keep it for legal or accounting reasons.

08 — Security

How we protect information

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections to this website and restricted access to inquiry information. No website or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

09 — Your choices

Your choices

You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it by emailing hello@medera.org. You can also ask us to stop contacting you at any time, and we will honor that request.

10 — Health information

Health information

This website is intended for medical practices and their staff, not for patients. Please do not submit patient names, medical details, or other protected health information through our forms or by general email. If a practice needs to share patient information with us, we arrange that through secure channels after a Business Associate Agreement is in place.

11 — Children

Children

This website is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

12 — Updates

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page.
